E3 Week: My Highlights from the Microsoft Xbox Press Conference

After the EA conference felt like a company floundering for something to put on stage, and then subsequently not actually making an effort once the stuff was up there. Microsoft came out like a company with something to prove. True, they are trailing behind Sony and the PS4 in terms of sales and install base, but Microsoft also have their fingers in the PC space, so it’s not like they’re desperate…

I’m not going to break down the entire conference for Microsoft like I did for EA, there was far too much on display here and a lot of it I don’t have a strong opinion about, or there wasn’t simply enough there before jumping to the next thing to say anything about it other than stating it’s a thing. So I’m going to go down my notes and talk about the things I felt the strongest about, in either a positive or negative light. So let’s get started.

My Final Thoughts on Dragon Ball Super

Now that I’m finished spending far, far too much time talking about the 20 things I liked and disliked about Dragon Ball Super, I can now go into a more final summation of my thoughts on the series. One where I don’t feel the need to gush about how much I like Toppo or that time Goku used his Kamehameha to grind up another beam attack. Again, this is going to talk about the end of Dragon Ball Super, so spoilers if you don’t like subtitles.

10 Things I loved about Dragon Ball Super

I feel like I’m still recovering from that last post. Both because it spiralled into a monster in terms of length, but also because being very negative can be exhausting, especially when it comes to a show I ended up really enjoying by the time is was over. Sure, Dragon Ball Super had its problems, but it managed to improve by leaps and bounds by the time it was in its final story arc. To the point that I was pretty sad that at the potential that it was could be the end of Dragon Ball on television.

As more information comes to light though it’s almost a certainly that Dragon Ball isn’t over for good. The upcoming movie at the end of the year is picking up right where Super left off, at the end of the Tournament of Power. And the scuttlebutt from creators and producers heavily implies a new series will be starting again this time next year following that. Which is great news.

But in the meantime, let me spend some more time talking about Dragon Ball Super, specifically allow me to list 10 things (in no particular order) I really loved about this series. Again, if you’re not up to date with the show, like if you’re watching the show dubbed for example, then I’d recommend not reading any further unless you’re not fussed about spoilers.
