God Damn it Goku… I mean, I knew there was going to be one more twist in this tale before it was over. But I should be thrilled by it not exasperated. I get that being smart isn’t one of Goku’s defining character traits, but the fact that these characters keep making the same mistakes over and over again is pretty exhausting.
In the wake of Nintendo’s announcement that the 3DS is being retired, I had thought to start writing a post that was my farewell to the 3DS. Looking back though, for the significant library the device had, it was still overwhelmingly a Pokémon machine. In amongst those 1000+ hours I spent collectively on the Pokémon franchise, there was one other underappreciated gem in my most played games that I ended up revisiting.
One that stands out amongst many, many terrible games within the franchise as one of the best. One that richly deserves a sequel.
God Damn it Goku. If you’re going to get all righteous about someone sacrificing themselves for the greater good, you can’t just go and change your mind halfway through. I know Dragon Ball never makes these things easy, but come on…
