My time at EGX 2017

So I went to EGX again this year. This would be the point in the article where, if I’d have been a real journalist, I’d have given a brief background into EGX. But I honestly can’t be bothered to make that kind of effort right now. All you need to know is that it’s a big video gaming and culture convention that take place in the West Midlands of the U.K. for 4 days a year.

It’s the third time I’ve gone in as many years and it’s pretty standard fare as far as these type of conventions go. A bunch of developers, large and small, show up and pedal their wares, so to speak. On top of that there are plenty of other attractions. Wooderon Games of the Year 2016: #3

I didn’t actually forget to post this earlier. I was just really busy. Really busy playing Titanfall. I had the thing written out already I swear. All I needed to do was add an image or two and click upload. It doesn’t matter, I still have a couple of hours to spare. Here’s number 3.

Pokemon Sun and Moon have been thoroughly spoiled for me

Around Christmas time, there were a couple of kinds of kids I knew. There were those that no matter how much they wanted to know what they’d been given for Christmas, they’d never actually peek or open them early. I was one of these kids. Maybe it was a respect for the tradition of waiting for the appropriate time to open my gifts, or maybe it was because I wanted to save the surprises for one big moment to enjoy, or maybe I was just lame, whose to say. Then there were the other kind of kid, the one that couldn’t wait, who would shake their presents, rip paper to see inside or just go through their parent’s cupboards and open whatever they found. It’s the later of these people who have made it so enjoying a game as they come out is next to impossible.
