You know how I talked up how the Playstation 4 has the better exclusives in comparison to Microsoft and the Xbox One at the beginning of yesterday’s post. Well, again spoilers, yesterday was the only game I played on the PS4 that makes it onto this list. There were other Playstation exclusives I picked up, but it’s not my main console.
It’s just that I’m not really a fan of Uncharted… I picked up Cosmic Star Heroine. That was cool, but I never really started playing it properly became of Overwatch being an all consuming void of time for good portions of the year. Oh, Puyo Puyo Tetris! Very cool game. I mean who doesn’t like Tetris, and it actually taught me how to play Puyo Puyo to a passible standard, so it’s got that going for it. But technically, this game has been out in Japan for ages, so I can’t really put it on my list… Yeah.
So… Back to the list. Please don’t hate me Sony fans.
#9: Star Wars Battlefront II
#7: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
#6: Destiny 2
#5: Horizon Zero Dawn

So I went to EGX again this year. This would be the point in the article where, if I’d have been a real journalist, I’d have given a brief background into EGX. It’s the third time I’ve gone in as many years and it’s pretty standard fare as far as these type of conventions go. A bunch of developers, large and small, show up and pedal their wares, so to speak. On top of that there are plenty of other attractions. People selling niche and retro merchandise based on video games, or other things the type of people who go to this type of event will probably like. Continue reading “My time at EGX 2017”
I ended up doing a lot of shuffling around at this top end of my list, even as I was writing the earlier parts. I’m not giving anything away, but this has been such a strong year for games and I only managed to play half of what I wanted to get my hands on in the end. These top two were very difficult to pick from, but number two doesn’t mean first loser in this case by any means.
While I’m going on opinion here, I’m hoping that nobody can argue with me about this next title deserving its place on the list.
#10 Halo 5: Guardians
#9 Ori and the Blind Forest
#7 Dragonball XenoVerse
#6 Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
#5 Destiny: The Taken King
#4 Tales from the Borderlands
#3 Fallout 4 Continue reading “Wooderon Games of the Year 2015: #2”
