3 most disappointing games of 2015

You thought I’d counted my days wrong didn’t you. Well it just wouldn’t be me if I couldn’t top off 10 days of praise with a nice little cherry of negativity. I’ve mentioned that I didn’t get the chance to play everything I would have liked to this year, and I’m sure my list would have looked a little different if I’ve gotten around to games like The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, SOMA, Dying Light and more.

However, just because a game was absent doesn’t mean I just didn’t play it. Some games this year let me down. They managed to build themselves up and then ultimately fail to deliver for me in a way that meant I needed to bring them up here to clear up a few things and complain.

for your displeasure, here are my three most disappointing games of 2015: Continue reading “3 most disappointing games of 2015”

Wooderon Games of the Year 2015: #1

Seeing as how the cards are all on the table now, I can be a bit more open with my choices about what didn’t make my top ten. There were plenty of games I played this year I really enjoyed, but couldn’t justify putting them on here for one reason or another.

I would have really liked to put Borderlands The Handsome Collection on this list, but I can’t in all good conscious add a console port of a game that changes almost nothing from the original, despite how much I enjoyed it. Also, thanks to the Rare Replay Collection, I was introduced to Viva Piñata, a game that snuck up on me and I enjoyed in a way I never thought I would. But I’m doing this as honest as possible. At least this number one is clear cut anyway:

#10 Halo 5: Guardians

#9 Ori and the Blind Forest

#8 Splatoon

#7 Dragonball XenoVerse

#6 Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

#5 Destiny: The Taken King

#4 Tales from the Borderlands

#3 Fallout 4

#2 Super Mario Maker Continue reading “Wooderon Games of the Year 2015: #1”

Wooderon Games of the Year 2015: #2

I ended up doing a lot of shuffling around at this top end of my list, even as I was writing the earlier parts. I’m not giving anything away, but this has been such a strong year for games and I only managed to play half of what I wanted to get my hands on in the end. These top two were very difficult to pick from, but number two doesn’t mean first loser in this case by any means.

While I’m going on opinion here, I’m hoping that nobody can argue with me about this next title deserving its place on the list.
