This is usually around the time of year I make the terrible life choice of beginning my Game of the Year blog gauntlet. Around two solid weeks of extensive posts listing my best and worst video games and movies of the past 12 months as I saw them. Coupled with an intensive time of year within my job in retail, it seems like a terrible idea on my part. And yet it’s something I look forward to doing every year.

Destiny’s Gambit mode has a Sleeper Simulant Problem.

I eventually did get around to trying out Gambit mode since last talking about Destiny Forsaken. In fact, I’ve spent significant time in the new mode and feel it’s a fantastic addition to the game. A mode that combines elements of both the normal gameplay; shooting the numerous enemies of the darkness, but also adding an element of direct player vs. payer competition as well.

I find myself enjoying the mode, even when on the losing side. After many dozens of games though, one little thing has been niggling at me, and the more people abuse it, the more I see it becoming a real problem for the mode.

Wooderon’s Initial Impressions of Destiny: Forsaken

I’m feeling kind of low on both inspiration and motivation right now. I’ve got things going in the boring old real world, I’m also struggling to make this blog what I want it to be at the moment. And I don’t really know what to do about it. That’s my issue though. I had something else planned for today. But instead, I’m just going to spend some time writing, stream of consciousness style, when it comes to my initial feelings about the new Destiny expansion that came out this week.

I’m also fairly certain I never paid for it, and somehow have access to it anyway. Which I’m not complaining about, this was one of the expense ones.
