Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 34: Haulin’ for a Maulin’

It seems like an incredibly long time since the reveal of Darth Maul still being alive. An entire season and a half in fact. I’d wonder if I’d have been chomping at the bit for this plot element to return had I watched this series as it was coming out. Truthfully, while writing about these episodes, I kind of forgot all about Maul and his brother Savage Opress.

It’s cool to see them back though, in no small part due to how much the series itself throws onto this event. They treat it like it’s a big deal.

Wrestling with a Blog idea – Introverted vs Extroverted Personality types

I’ve actually had to scrap this entire post and start again several times. Y’see, when writing I have a tendency to go off on tangents, which is a big no-no apparently. It doesn’t stop me from doing it anyway though. But when it came to writing this post, the tangent consumed me and ended up becoming, like, 80% of the whole post. So I thought sod it, let’s start again.

Why am I telling you any of this? Well, it kind of goes hand in hand with the entire theme of this post, and how having trouble expressing yourself outside of your defined parameters can affect your blog, for better and for worse.

What makes a good Harem Manga

A while back, when I was first getting back into watching anime and reading manga, I wrote a post talking about the romantic comedy genre, specifically, the harem style of story and my frustrations with it. They were the words of a person not yet versed in the tropes and archetypes that comes from well-worn genre.

That being said, I still feel like they’re words that come from an honest place. Now that time has passed and two of my favourite examples of the genre have ended, I thought I might return to the subject and do a follow-up to it. Bare in min though; I’m older, but non the wiser.
