Now this is the kind of utter nonsense I was expecting when I heard there was going to be an anime/Star Wars collaboration project. And leave it to Studio Trigger to dive head first into turning Star Wars into just about the most anime thing I think I might have ever seen. Then again, there has always been something a little “extra” about Trigger and the shows they produce.

My Hero Academia: Season 5 – I’ve gone and become the “read the manga guy”

It was going to happen to me eventually. I had been staving off doing it for the past few years. But after the conclusion of The Joint Training arc I finally broke down, subscribed to Viz.com and started reading the My Hero Academia Manga from the very beginning. Having totally caught up now, it goes without saying that having that in my mind is going to colour my feelings and enthusiasm for the anime in same shape or form.

Star Wars Visions Reviews – Episode 2: Tattooine Rhapsody

After the first episode, which very much felt like an alternate take on the Star Wars legend, this second episode veers off in a totally different direction and just feels like some good old fashioned anime that happens to take place in the Star Wars universe. The result being that this episode ends up feeling nothing like Star Wars whatsoever.
