What if…? Marvel didn’t do the thing that Marvel does

The MCU’s foray into the world of animation was one I approached with some form of scepticism. Not that I thought it looked bad or anything, just that it was one more step into me feeling like I am on the way to Superhero burnout.

With the pandemic induced break from superhero stuff, its return has been thick and fast in 2021. Maybe a little too fast for me to keep up with, because the MCU’s beginnings into the waters of multiverse has been less a dipping of the toes and more of a cannonball.

3 Episode Rule – Keep Your Hands off Eizouken!

There not been a fat lot this season that has stuck out to me as something that could be described as “required viewing”, but of the shows I have watched so far, this one is by far the one getting the most attention. And deservedly so. There is something uniquely quirky and stylish about Keep Your Hands off Eizouken! right from the word go. And while I wasn’t so hot on it right away, it had done it’s job drawing me in by the time I’d finished its third episode.

Disenchantment’s first season is a frustrating jumble of Sitcom and Serial Drama that doesn’t work

The second half of Matt Groening’s Disenchantment dropped on Netflix not too long ago, and it almost went entirely under my radar. Unlike the first half of the series, which kind of felt like a bigger deal when I wrote about it… over a year ago… Wow, and they’re still just calling this the first season?
