When this season first started off, this was the show that did the most for me right from the get-go. As it went on at its own leisurely pace, it became a story with two major messages to put forward; how adorable yet doomed the relationship between Somali and the Golem was and how both welcoming and horribly exclusionary the world around them could potentially be.
There not been a fat lot this season that has stuck out to me as something that could be described as “required viewing”, but of the shows I have watched so far, this one is by far the one getting the most attention. And deservedly so. There is something uniquely quirky and stylish about Keep Your Hands off Eizouken! right from the word go. And while I wasn’t so hot on it right away, it had done it’s job drawing me in by the time I’d finished its third episode.
As I write this, I have just finished wrapping the last of my Christmas presents and prepare for a seven day sting leading right up until Christmas Eve morning at work. It also marks what might be the latest I’ve ever actually left writing these top ten lists in the years I’ve been writing them for this site.
The thing is, there is so much stuff just now finishing or, that I want to get caught up on that I had no choice but to leave it this late. Release schedules wait for no man and his personal timekeeping. Getting to the point though, this following show meant a lot to me this year, and I’ve been looking forward to talking about it again.
