3 Episode Rule – Jujutsu Kaisen

3 Episode Rule is a series in which I watch the first three episodes of a new anime and decide whether to stick with it or drop it based on those three episodes alone.

If I was a little on the fence when it came to how I felt about Wandering Witch, I’ve fully fallen off onto the side with the greenest grass when it comes to this second anime. It’s kind of refreshing to be honest. It doesn’t feel like I’ve been so on board with an anime this quickly in a while. Jujutsu Kaisen unabashedly knows what it is and I can totally respect that as it satisfies the neanderthallic itch at the base of my skull perfectly.

3 Episode Rule – Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina

3 Episode Rule is a series in which I watch the first three episodes of a new anime and decide whether to stick with it or drop it based on those three episodes alone.

It’s that time once again, where we find ourselves knee-deep in the new anime season. It doesn’t seem like five minutes since 2020 started, and yet here we are; looking at the final full anime season of the year.

The previous two anime seasons fell kind of flat for me. I know that COVID crippled production within a lot of studios, affecting both the quantity and quality of the shows we got. So I’m really hoping this Autumn/Fall season is a step up from what else I’ve seen this year, because otherwise my end of year anime list is going to be a little bit flimsy come the time to write that.

Ghosts of Tsushima is aggressively uninteresting, I give up

That’s it, I give up. I can’t keep banging my head against this game anymore. Not to bring down the mood, but despite my best efforts, this game has broken me, and honestly I shouldn’t be that surprised. Ghosts of Tsushima is a video game that encapsulated pretty much all of my problems with modern triple A video game development. And to at least recoup some of the money and time I dumped into this game, I’ll blog about it.
