I really did feel like this story arc was coming to an end with the second battle between the Saiyans and Moro, but low and behold I was wrong and it seems like we’re getting the universe 7 road trip that I was hoping for from the very start. Goku and Vegeta prepare for their next confrontation with the goat man and Earth finally becomes a target.

It’s a pretty new experience for me, to dive into reading manga based on the anime I’m watching. Some would say it’s the natural progression of an insufferable know-it-all such as myself. For the most part through, I want to avoid being that guy. Manga and Anime are very different mediums with different expectations of their pacing and storytelling style.
Quite often, the manga is going to a better version of the story because they have a more open approach to the speed at which their story is getting delivered. To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts is a manga I glanced at though and surprised at just how different it is from this season’s anime adaptation.

The longest night is finally over, and there’s nothing like a little hijinks to being you back down to Earth after a pretty intense ending to a pretty action packed arc. Which isn’t to say there still isn’t a lot of peril and danger going on here, it’s just that I’m laughing along with it rather than sweating bullets.
