Things are staring to feel a lot more shoneny this episode. While this is the beginning of the 8th’s investigation in the 1st division, it’s under the guise of a some kind of training arc. I’m starting to get to the point where I’m not worrying about the little things in Fire Force and just going along for the ride.

While I have really enjoyed the look and style of this show right from shot #1, I kind of feel like Shinra’s story as the protagonist has become buried into the mounds of everything else going on in this world of fantasy inspired fire fighters and flaming demons.

I made a prediction about the direction I felt this show was going a few reviews back, then it went and totally defied my expectations by having last episode happen. Demon Slayer, it seems, wanted it both ways though, making Tanjiro the badass and also in need of rescuing. So my predictions ended up coming to fruition in the end anyway.
