Five potential Star Wars Movies I’d want to see

Are we past Rise of Skywalker yet? I haven’t gone back and watched it a second time yet, I’m not sure I even want to at this point. Despite the fact that Disney really screwed the pooch with the final part of their sequel trilogy, there has been no shortage of new Star Wars content for me to get excited about, as you’ve probably seen through my ongoing mission to review every episode of the Clone Wars T.V. series in chronological order.

But what of the movies? I guess Disney are going to take a little bit of a break and let the heat die down before they go back to them. But that doesn’t mean they haven’t got plans bubbling over for the future. I mean, they’re saying Taika Waititi is lined up to direct one of the upcoming Star Wars movies, which’ll be very interesting and different.

Excitement and Misgiving for the Star War: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer

Finally, after months of waiting, the trailer and the title for the new Star Wars movie has dropped. Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. As a title, this isn’t one I think I could have predicted, the thing that shocked me even more than the title itself though was the general reaction to the trailer online; which was wholly positive.

One of the last times I spoke about the Star Wars movies in any great length, it was unfortunately a piece to lambaste the fan base for their utterly pathetic backlash in response to The Last Jedi, and their targeting of particular people they (incorrectly) deemed responsible for their displeasure. The Last Jedi: My Thoughts on: Poe & Finn

As per usual, I didn’t get around to seeing Star Wars: The Last Jedi for a week or so later than everyone else around me. So, once again, I was subject to everyone else’s opinion before I could formulate my own. I was more surpised than anyone to hear such a range of views on this movie after the first one being hype on toast.

When I eventually did get around to seeing the movie, I agree that it might be the most decisive Star Wars film that I’ve seen. While Rogue One felt like a much darker take on the material than I was ever expecting to see from the series, especially under the Disney umbrella, it was a refreshing move away from what felt like a very safe entry with The Force Awakens.

After seeing The Last Jedi, I agree that there is a lot to digest. So much so that I felt it prudent to split this post up into multiple parts, because otherwise this would end up a million years long. This first part will be focusing on Poe Dameron and Finn’s contributions to the series thus far. I’ll be talking about the events of The Last Jedi in depth in case you couldn’t guess that.
