Dragon Ball Super Manga – Chapter 45: “Moro’s Magic” – Snack ‘O Planet

The battle continues with Moro, and the more we learn some more about how this villain works, the more I am starting the think the flipping of release schedules of both the anime and the manga might be the best thing to happen for the series since its revival.

In the last part, the emaciated warlock Moro had made his way to Namek with intent to use and abuse both it and its Dragon Balls, only to be intercepted by both Vegeta and Goku. Vegeta took the first shot at fighting Moro, so obviously is was going to job out at some point.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Episode 20 Review – “The Final Mission from the Boss” – You Next Line is…

We arrive at the half way point for the series and things start to take a turn, a turn that gives me final battle with DIO vibes from part III. Bucciarati arrives to deliver Trish to the boss, finally making strides to enact his and Giornno’s plan to screw over the head of the Mafia.

It had been so long that I kind of forgot that Giorno and Bucciarati were in bed together (so to speak) in their plan to upend the criminal underworld in Italy. And a good portion of this episode gets into Bucciarati backstory, which surprisingly we had not encountered before this point.

Alita: Battle Angel – Does a Middling Adaptation Make a Bad Movie Good?

I made what has become a increasingly rare visit to the cinema last week, in the efforts to go and see Alita: Battle Angel. To go ahead and spoil this entire review for you: I didn’t really have any especially strong feelings towards the movie. It just seemed like one more CG heavy action flick to me, which has become the expectation for this genre of movie. The unfortunate result is that Alita struggled to stick in my mind on walking out, especially when I don’t really hold any reverence for the source material.

I was at the point where I didn’t feel like I had anything interesting to talk about in a blog like this afterwards afterwards, and came close to not writing anything at all. However, it was upon seeing the reactionary discourse to the film via social media that I realised there seemed to be some rather polarising views regarding the movie from fans, neutrals and critics. It was interesting to find myself smack in the middle of all things, agreeing with some things but baffled by other takes.
