WandaVision – The most unlikely gateway into the MCU

The MCU is all upside-down and inside out at the moment. Both within it’s ongoing story and outside of it. As the original plan was for both Black Widow and Falcon and Winter Soldier to come out before WandaVision. But Covid went and flipped everything around, thus WandaVision became the first entry in a particularly packed Phase 4 for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

All this changing around kind of goes hand in hand with the reality-bending mind-WTFery of Wanda Maximoff and what she gets up to throughout this series. A series I am super shocked to hear about a large number of people in my social circle enjoying, despite the fact that they traditionally couldn’t give two craps about the MCU.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 45: Anakin Skywalker: Terrible Husband

Wow, talk about coming to a screeching halt. After two really great story arcs, we arrive at this trio of episodes. Ones that genuinely almost put me to sleep while I was watching them. Then again, it was pretty late, so I wasn’t doing myself any favours there.

A story featuring a love triangle and a finance dispute… It’s no wonder this was initially a B-plot in another storyline, one broken off into its own story arc.

Duelling Interviews – Rok of Secluded Observation

The following post is one of my greatest shames of the past few months. Rok of Solitary Observation was gracious enough to approach me to perpetrate some kind of collaboration interview. Unfortunately, he approached me in early December when I was neck-deep in my Best of Year series. A series that apparently burned me out so much that I haven’t exactly been prolific thus far in 2021.
