Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 47: Yodyssey

Here we are, the final episodes of the Clone Wars. Well, for about six years before the 7th and final season came to us with Disney Plus last year. I wasn’t sure what to expect from these episodes, but it does seem like they were made with them being the final episodes of the series in mind.

My initial suspicion was that they would be acting as some kind of lead up to the events of Revenge of the Sith somehow. But that’s not what we got, instead, we got a more mystical journey starring Yoda as he both discovers and comes to terms with how the Jedi as they currently exist are all but doomed.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 46: The Redemption of Jar Jar Binks

I guess the rehabilitation of Jar Jar Binks continues, although the setup for this one seems a little more tenuous than the Gungan’s previous outings. At this point, Jar Jar feels more natural to the series to me than the sore thumb he seemed to be in the earlier parts of the series and the movies. But giving him a love interest of such status and intelligence seems a little bit of s stretch to me.

If anything seeing how Jar Jar and Queen Julia first met and she ended up falling for him would be a more intriguing story I fear we’re never going to see. Because how?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 45: Anakin Skywalker: Terrible Husband

Wow, talk about coming to a screeching halt. After two really great story arcs, we arrive at this trio of episodes. Ones that genuinely almost put me to sleep while I was watching them. Then again, it was pretty late, so I wasn’t doing myself any favours there.

A story featuring a love triangle and a finance dispute… It’s no wonder this was initially a B-plot in another storyline, one broken off into its own story arc.
