A Beginner’s View on Lupin the Third Part 5

During this, my first year trying to get into Anime, I found myself picking up a number of shows I would have otherwise never invested any time into. Lupin the Third is the one of these shows. Truthfully, I had actually heard of Lupin the Third beforehand. It’s a show that did get huge outside of Japan, it just so happens Part V is my first actual experience with it.

Not knowing anything going in, it managed to grab me almost right away. It makes a hell of a first impression. It’s a show that seeps style from every pore and is a lot smarter than I would have ever imagined, but let’s not get a head of ourselves.

Netflix’s Disenchantment lives up to its name

Matt Groening doesn’t need to work anymore, The Simpsons is one of those insane, money generating properties that will keep Groening, his family and their kids afloat for generations to come. Still, I’m glad that he still has drive to create something new after this long. The Simpsons is an integral cultural touchstone for most people of my age, and Futurama was one of my favourite shows during its initial run.

Mid-Week Review: Super Dragon Ball Heroes – Episode 3

The last time I spoke about Super Dragon Ball Heroes, I was pretty dismissive of it. My thoughts, summed up, were that the series seemed largely irreverent in the end. It was made to expand upon a series of high concept shorts, which in turn were made to promote a video game. Heroes goes onto stretch out these concepts without actually adding anything to them.
