3 Episode Rule is a series in which I watch the first three episodes of a new anime and decide whether to stick with it or drop it based on those three episodes alone.

I think this might be my last entry in 2020’s 3 episode rule series. I’ll say it’s a marked improvement from last season where I had three shows I meant to watch but but ended up running out of time for, this time I’ve only dodged out on the one. Maybe it’s got something to do with the quality of the shows I’ve had to go on.

3 Episode Rule – Moriarty the Patriot

Man, where have all these anime been all year? I’ve been bemoaning how sparse the offerings have been all year and now the fall season seems like the quarter that just keeps on giving. And once again I’m here; thankful I forgot to cancel that Funimation subscription six months ago.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 27: Pitch Black (Part 1)

As I get into season four, I realise that a lot of these episodes are coming in four-episode blocks. Given how long my previous post was, just for three pretty inconsequential episodes in the series, I flat out refuse to talk about any more than three in one go. Which means, going forward you’re going to be getting a lot of these storylines being split into two parts. It might not work as smoothly as before, and if that turns out to be the case I’ll do something different, but until then, this is how we’re doing it.

So, The Umbara storyline… Every time I think there aren’t any more episodes I’ve already seen, another bunch come along and flood my patchwork brain with once forgotten memories.
