My personal mantra for social media and the importance of not being a dick

I use social media every day, and yet I realise that I don’t actually post all that much to it myself. As sites like Twitter have matured and gotten away from what they were when they first started out, I kind find myself much less inclined to wade into that perpetual trash fire. I just feel bad for the people who have to interact with it as a part of their livelihood.

My experience as a supermarket manager and dealing with Coronavirus

These past two weeks have been such an incredibly frustrating time for me. Everyone in the world has seen their daily lives changed somehow by the public health crisis we’re facing with COVID-19, and as a manager in a major supermarket, I have had a front row seat the ridiculous reactionary behaviour of the general public. And quite frankly; it’s just gets me so mad.

The Blogger’s Pain: To be Fast or to be Right

I’ve been struggling with my blog a little these past few months. The changes in my life during this span of time, both at work and at home, have made it much more difficult for me to find the time and the enthusiasm to write as much as I used to. Especially when I spend most of my waking moments half drunk or totally exhausted.

If I had to pluck a silver lining out of this whole situation; it’d be that the thing I’m about to write about has become something of a non-issue for me. But I’m still going to write about it anyway, because on occasion I look back at something I’ve written and kind of wish I’d just held fire.
