For someone who claims to have no interest in the Isekai genre of anime, I feel like I spend more time talking about it than I probably should. Really though, it’s just my continuing amazement at just how many totally uninspired and super generic Isekai stories keep getting green-lit when there is so much actual potential for the genre on a conceptual level.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 8: That’s not how virology works
Now isn’t exactly the best time to be watching these couple of episodes, what with the world still suffering the effects of the pandemic that we’ve been living with for the past few months. Although with all the other terrible things going on these past few weeks on top of that, it kind of every horrible thing that could happen in these episodes has a real life parallel going on somewhere in the world right now.

I should be happy Football’s coming back, but all I can see are the negatives
Here in England, we’re on the cusp of the football season coming back and beating its way to a hasty conclusion. In our time apart, it’s given me a bit of time to think about my relationship with sport, and more specifically the culture that surrounds it. The big realisation I’ve made is that there’s is a big chunk of sport culture that I really just don’t like being around.
