Is Ghostbusters: Afterlife an effective sequel-reboot?

I went into this movie pretty head empty. I’ve gone and become very cynical about movie reboots and belated sequels. For the most part, they seem to actively ignore the charm of what made those movies so beloved in the first place. Content to cash in on an easy bit of nostalgia.

Which is what the Ghostbusters remake of a few years ago seemed to be from what I understand. I wouldn’t know, I never bothered seeing it. With cinemas reopening and the prospect of them closing again looming on the horizon, I felt I would give Ghostbusters: Afterlife a shot and see how this 4th movie in the franchise faired.

Back 4 Blood: Does it succeed in being the Modern Left 4 Dead?

Like so many other people my age; Left 4 Dead was one of those games you can’t help but think back on with this magical fondness. And like a dragon to be chased and never caught, every time the prospect of it coming back, or something just like it filling that hole seemed like it was happening, there was this sense of longing for a game that really ended up being more than the sum of its parts.

Well, now that dragon has been caught and we can really dig into whether the Left 4 Dead legacy was everything we thought it was. Or if it really was just a time and a place kind of game that grabbed a whole lot of us at the same time.

Demon Slayer: Season 2 – Episode 6: Akaza

It’s the big fight of the arc. As cool as it has been seeing Tanjiro and Inosuke take down Enmu, everyone who saw the movie knew that the appearance of Akaza would be the true ending battle of this arc. And it’s just as impressive seeing it the second time.
