Kaguya-Sama: Love is War: Season 2 – Premise Amnesia isn’t always a bad thing

I loved the first season of Love is War so much. Just putting that out there so we all know where we stand. It was one of the shows that really got be back into anime, and definitely the one that got me into reading manga. The second season of this high concept romantic comedy does something I see shows that have made it do and start to move away from the concept that got it picked up in the first place.

This isn’t always necessarily a bad thing.

Tower of God – Episode 13: Tower of God – Series Finale

I had initially thought last week’s episode would have been an amazing cliffhanger to end the series on. At which point I found myself wondering what this 13th episode could possibly provide to follow those events and still end the series on a point where you’d be thirsty for more.

Dragon Ball Super Manga – Chapter 61: Vegeta Reborn

Man, oh man. I’ll tell you what, I was coming into this chapter fully expecting to be underwhelmed by it. As much as I’ve enjoyed reading this arc, I’ve felt it never quite wanted to overstep its bounds and do anything really new with the series. But after reading this chapter, I was super impressed with the direction this battle went in, and also with Vegeta’s much hyped new power, that could have easily been a disappointment. Although, I get the impression I’m the exception in feeling this way.
