What is Firewatch. That’s the funny joke right, have I done it well? In all seriousness though, Firewatch was, and still is, a kind of difficult game to pin down. It’s not a video game in the same sense Super Mario is a very video game ass video game. Rather, it’s a story, one in which the player participates. Like the new Telltale brand of adventure game, player input really really negligible to what is a very pretty and interesting narrative experience.

Dragonball Super still isn’t that great
I’ve been watching Dragonball Super on and off. I wrote about it once before on here, specifically to talk about the lack of quality animation and their choices to retell the Beerus and Resurrection F movies again in the anime. Of course I still watched them, maybe hoping for some minor changes to fix my gripes with some parts of those movies. But mainly I have been looking forward to the original plot for Super
Well they’re a few episodes into a totally original arc now and I’ve got to say, Dragonball Super still isn’t all that great. It’s a sad story I’ve seen many times before; fondly remembered series gets a revival, then proceeds to be fantastically mediocre. Thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
My salt levels were high for this one. I’ve always been a big Star Wars fan. I read the books, I read the comics whenever possible, any Star Wars game was something I’d pick up. I even enjoyed the Clone Wars series. But eventually, it all became too much. Like a sponge filled to capacity, the Star Wars started to seep out of the edges and I started to get cynical.
It didn’t help that this might have been the most marketed piece of media ever, but everyone around me who used to turn their nose up at Star Wars were excitedly talking about booking their day one tickets to see the movie on release. Something I wasn’t able to do. On top of that, the movie is part of a new Canon that has basically made over 100 novels, the games and the comics all part of the Legends continuity.
