Avengers Endgame is a phenomenal payoff that Marvel will never be able to repeat

It’s difficult to know what to say about Avengers: Endgame right at this moment. Having already seen the movie twice and being utterly blown away by it, there is some level of difficulty knowing where I could possibly start when talking about this movie. Especially when the internet is packed to bursting point with content creators doing the exact same thing.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu is everything I was afraid it would be

Up until last week, I’d been really resistant to picking up Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu, the latest spinoff title from Nintendo and Game Freak. I call it a spinoff, because as much as the game is masquerading as a mainline entry into the series, it is one. Taking equal parts inspiration from the main series and the mobile game; Pokemon Go.

Despite the aggressively dismissive stand I had taken towards the game, after putting some time into it, I can fully understand why the game as as much positive word of mouth surround it as it does.

Pet Sematary (2019): A Return to Slow Burn Horror

My main driving force in going to see this movie was derived from 2017’s IT: A movie that I enjoyed far more than I’d expected to. Between the two, it gives me hope that we can make another step in the direction of mainstream movies taking the horror genre more seriously. At least, as seriously as it’s been taken since colour was the standard.
