Dragon Ball GT Rewatch Week: The Black Star Dragon Ball Saga – Day 1: Setup & Story

Dragon Ball is once again at the forefront of my mind. Once something that felt like a nostalgic curiosity, now there is a Goku balloon at the Macy’s thanksgiving day parade. Ever since Dragon Ball Super ended earlier this year, I had been plagued by a nagging curiosity. While I did watch bits and pieces of Dragon Ball GT back in the day, It never gripped me in the same way Z did. It’s been a stark gap in my fandom of the franchise ever since.

With the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie on the cusp of coming out and the manga starting to tell the story that follows that, there’s no better time to go back and do a deep dive on Dragon Ball GT. With two different sequel series to Dragon Ball Z now available, it’s a unique change for me to compare and contrast the two series and see which exactly what better.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes is Bad: Episode 4 Review

How the hell do I get 500 words out of this one. A good chunk of previous posts regarding Super Dragon Ball Heroes I’ve written have talked about the amazing concepts that could come from a series like this. It already exists in the form of the ads. Yet, once again, this show fails to impress.

With such a brief run time, you’d expect the show to be a series of quick-fire punches, throwing entirely different concepts at you, then quickly dropping them and moving to something new. This is the third (of the four) episodes to focus on the fight with “Cumber”. And it’s so boring.

Mid-Week Review: Super Dragon Ball Heroes – Episode 3

The last time I spoke about Super Dragon Ball Heroes, I was pretty dismissive of it. My thoughts, summed up, were that the series seemed largely irreverent in the end. It was made to expand upon a series of high concept shorts, which in turn were made to promote a video game. Heroes goes onto stretch out these concepts without actually adding anything to them.
