Mob Psycho 100 Episode 7 – Cornered ~True Identity~ Review

Man, trust this show to make me misty eyed over a two part storyline that I initially wasn’t too happy about. Last week I wasn’t too impressed with the Reigen-centric story, but do they ever use it to build to a powerful conclusion in this episode that put a lump in my throat.

A lot of this second series thus far has been dedicated to developing Mob’s character, making him into a more well-rounded person. These two episodes dedicate themselves to Reigen; exposing the biggest flaw in his character and using it to build him into something even stronger, despite me always regarding him as a pillar of confidence and strength before now regardless.

So now Giorno and Mista find themselves in even more… well, cold water. Right at the edge of the location in the photograph, but being dogged by an unstable enemy with the ability to rip their skin off.

SSSS Gridman Scratches A Nostalgic Itch I Never Knew I Had

I don’t think it would be a stretch to say that Studio Trigger has a certain style. A style in their visual approach certainly, but more so a common sense of style in the kinds of stories they like to tell. They like huge stakes, adolescent romance to save the day, and they’ll most likely squeeze some aliens in there somehow.

SSSS Gridman is a show that kind of took me by surprise. Honestly, I had mixed feelings about the Trigger shows I’ve seen up to now. After the wider community seemed to rally against the ending of Darling in the Franxx pretty hard, it turned me off them even more.
