What could a Sonic the Hedgehog movie Sequel become?

This is another post that has been sat in my drafts for a while, me putting it in when I heard the inevitable news that the live action Sonic the Hedgehog movie was getting a sequel. Quite possibly the least surprising movie news I’ve heard all year. Like I said when I talked about the movie shortly after seeing it, the whole thing only really felt tangentially related to the franchise it was named after. So what piques my interest is what route this sequel might pursue.

Destiny Talk: Season of Arrivals, Next 3 Years & Sunsetting of Content

Welp, we’re well and truly on the seasonal treadmill now aren’t we. As Destiny enters its final season of year 3, I feel like the shine has mostly worn off, and things are becoming pretty wrote. Which is weird to say in the face of the recent Bungie announcements and commitments to Destiny 2 for at least another three years.

While Season of Arrivals does have me playing again after bouncing off Season of the Worthy pretty hard, it kind of just feels like a stop gap before get get Beyond Light in September.

An argument for the Star Wars prequels being better than the sequels

The more Star Wars stuff I’ve been consuming these past few weeks, the more I’ve found the Rise of Skywalker has left a sour taste in my mouth. It’s less that I’m angry with the movie itself, more that I’m just severely disappointed with how Disney dropped the ball and bundled the whole thing as a response to the utterly undeserved backlash to The Last Jedi.

Something I spoke about in more depth shortly after seeing the movie for the first time.
