How COVID-19 could kill cinema

I recently heard that YouTube has been recently demonetising any videos that make mention of COVID-19 and the current pandemic sweeping the world. At first I just chocked it up to one more strange choice by YouTube to put the squeeze on their users, but then I thought about the issue a little more and it started to make sense.

The last thing you want during this whole crisis are sensationalist creators making a bunch of click bait misinformation that could whip people up into more of a panic than they already are. So I’m going to ignore the sense of the conclusions I made earlier and make a sensationalist claim about the long terms affects of the virus on the future of the entertainment industry.

MCU Rewatch – Avengers: Infinity War proves a villain can carry a movie

It’s taken me so much longer to get through this series than I’d originally envisioned. Then again, there were over 20 movies to watch and articles to write. Now we’re in what feels like the home stretch, and watching movies I certainly have never seen again since the cinema. Which is kind of a travesty when it comes to these last two last Avengers movies and how damned good they are.

It’s crazy to think that I started this rewatch series a year ago talking about how small the first Avengers felt in comparison to the franchise now, and getting to here and seeing this incredible franchise creating film series come together to do something no other movie has done before.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 3: Rise and Fall of Malevolence

From this point on, it’ll mostly be a straight shot through the rest of Season 1. After actually looking at the chronological list on Starwars.com properly for the first time, the the episodes of this anthology series are far less mixed up than I was expecting them to be.

This time though I’ll be dealing with my first three parter, the first of season one that deals with the Separatists’ new secret weapon; a massive battle cruiser which pays more than one homage to the original Death Star called the Malevolence.
