A brand new Spider-Man game is on the horizon, one that has everyone’s attention. Puddle dramas aside, I’m really looking forward it too. In preparation, I decided to look back at the last Spider-Man game I genuinely enjoyed. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was the first game in a long time that moved away from doggedly basing all interpretations of the character on the movies, and went back to plucking its inspiration from the comic books from which the character was made. Helping me remember why I loved the character so much in the first place.
Sony’s event was all over the place. Rather than a single media briefing on a stage, it felt like they were flitting between locations and filling time to get their next presentation ready by using a panel of talking heads. Going into this one, Sony had said they would focus on the four big “pillar exclusives” that would be coming out while also talking about some other games along the way.
While I might primarily play my games on Xbox, Sony definitely have the stronger catalogue of games. I might only own a PS4 for their exclusives, but at this point, owning the console for two or three incredibly good games a year is well worth it based on the quality they are of. I imagine they’ll start off strong, so let’s dig in.
I’m still thinking about Infinity War, it’s been rattling around in my brain since I saw it and it won’t go away. There are so many lingering questions, desperate to be answered. So much so that I need to ask them, if not to a person who can answer them, then at least to the internet at large. I’m aware that’s like farting into a wind tunnel, but damn it this is important and I don’t see anyone posing this kind of speculation.
So, I pose to you fair reader; 10 questions I’ve been left with after Infinity War in preparation for the follow up coming out next year. Some serious, some not so much. But questions are questions and I would like to know. Also, spoilers, obviously. If you want to see the movie still I’d come back afterwards.
