We’re getting a Knights of the Old Republic Remake! What does it mean? So many questions

I’m no console fanboy. Although I will admit that over the past few years, I have held some degree of favouritism of the Microsoft consoles over the Sony ones. This generation might just change things though, having managed to get my hands on a PS5 before even bothering with a new Xbox, I was super excited to see all the trailers announced at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase.

Although one surprise announcement had me bouncing even more than the ones that followed it, despite myself: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – A movie about Yin and Yang

I think this is the first time I’ve seen an MCU movie out of order, having still not managed to get my ass in front of Black Widow yet. Honestly, I had to force myself out to go and see this one as well. Although I think that might have something more to do with the fact that my brain is still in that pandemic mentality and the idea of going out and doing things still seems so foreign to me.

Although the idea of going into a movie almost totally blind was intriguing enough that I felt like I had to get out and see this one. With the first Guardians of the Galaxy still somehow fresh in my mind as one of my favourite cinematic experiences of all time, I guess I’m still chasing that dragon and hoping Marvel can deliver again. Enough to get myself to the cinema again for the just the second time in a year and a half.

Star Wars: Rebels Revisited – Part 2: Nobody Expects the Sith Inquisition?

I know I’m only six episodes into the series at this point, but I’m already getting the sense that Rebels is much more of a different kind of series than Clone Wars was trying to be. I’m getting much more “Saturday morning Cartoon” energy from this series than I did Clone Wars, which felt a little more mature comparatively.

I know it’s hardly a fair comparison at this point, me thinking about the much more matured Clone Wars compared to the earliest episodes of Rebels, but I just can’t help coming back to the Disney influence over this series, bringing me back to the time shortly after the acquisition and my worries for the future of my expanded universe.
