There’s been a petition on Change.Org been doing the rounds on social media this past week. One that has been getting a lot of attention, for better for for worse. Mostly worse. With over 1 million supporters as of the time of writing this, “Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers” is a sad commentary on the current state of fandoms.

Back when I was reviewing the first half of this season of Attack on Titan, I’d often complain on how little titan action there was. I was half joking, as the political intrigue and dive into the lore of the world was equally fascinating to me.
I can only imagine that in some bizarre timeline, someone making this show heard me, because the first three episodes of part two kick off with a number of titan sized bangs.

I’m just going to come out and say it: I don’t think 2011’s Thor has aged that well. Not to say it’s particularly out of touch or dated in itself, rather it feels like a tonal misstep that the franchise eventually goes on to self right in the late movies in the franchise. Looking at the movie objectively, it’s a perfectly serviceable action movie that mixed fantasy and science fiction, it’s just that the direction the series took ended up leaving this movie looking like the odd one out.
