How many times are we going to keep rebooting Batman?

While I was taking my week off, an event took place called the DC FanDome. During this event, Warner made a whole bunch of movie and video game announcements. Of these trailers, the one that seemed to be getting the most attention on the socials was the trailer for the Matt Reeves directed, Robert Patterson starring Batman movie.

I’ll put my hands up and admit that the jaded, cynical part of my brain took over and asked the question: “Do we really need another Batman movie already?”

Relating to the Unrelatable Characters

A couple of weeks ago, I read a post about the need for reliability in protagonists from A K of sonatano1.wordpress.com (Everything is bad for you), using Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro as a talking point. And it got me into thinking about how we endeavour to relate to characters in our media, no matter how unrelatable they might initially seem.

What Pokemon could learn from Digimon World: Next Order

Something has broken in my brain. A combination of me watching the rebooted series of Digimon Adventure and rediscovering what made me love the Pokemon games so much have become inexorably linked. The consequence of which saw me dropping all of the other, newer games I’d been playing and start a new game of the PS4 game from a few years ago: Digimon World: Next Order.

Next Order is a direct sequel to the 1999 Digimon World on the first Playstation; one of my favourite games for the platform. Upon playing these games back to back I feel like are a few things the Pokemon franchise might be able to learn from Digimon World.
