Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #7

Not to spoil things too much, but this is another anime that is still ongoing as I write this. The deeper I get into this list, the more I feel like I should be less concerned with years of release and when things ended. Maybe I should just look at what I watched and enjoyed over the course of the year. Again, any of the more veteran anime bloggers out there want to throw some ideas my way, feel free.

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #7

In this year of getting into watching Anime in a way that I never really have done before, I’ve come to realise that I have a pretty pretty strong appreciation for the ridiculous and the absurd. And nothing does this brand of over the top silly quite like anime does. This number seven entry in particular has kept me coming back mostly thanks to how weird it is, and the fact that it manages to top its own weirdness over and over on a pretty consistent basis. But then again, that could apply to a good number of the shows I’ve watched this year.

Here’s the list as it stands thus far:

#10: Goblin Slayer

#9: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

#8: The Ancient Magus’ Bride

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #8

Another day, another post where I desperately scramble about and try to paint my personal taste as an actual indicator of quality when it comes to Anime. The last thing I want to happen is me getting found out that I have no real idea what I’m talking about, and this is all waffle. That would be awkward. Writing these intros has always been a pain in the ass every year, looking for some text to shove on here before I get into the post itself proper. Now I’ve made the mistake of having to write twice as many this year…

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #8

Today, I speak about a show that completely captivated me when I first started watching it. However, It was a show where, the more that happened, the less I found myself interested. It’s strange, I enjoyed just existing in a peaceful world with the characters and seeing how they lived their lives in this interesting setting. When the drama kicked in, it lost a bit of its charm. That didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment though.

Number eight will be after these links to the previous posts:

#10: Goblin Slayer

#9: Jojo’s Bizare Adventure: Golden Wind

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #9

My fumbling around in the world of Anime continues this evening. Flip flopping between video games and anime as I write these has been more tricky than I had expected it to be. One more lesson to go into the pot of things I’ll probably forget by the time I get around to doing this again next year.

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #9

Today’s entry is another late season show. I dabbled with the idea of leaving this show off my list entirely, with how little of it I’ve seen. But with each passing episode, I find myself enjoying the show more and more. I felt like I needed to give it some recognition for how much enjoyment it gives me. That being said, I really will have to figure out a better way of organising these lists next year. Hey, if any other anime bloggers out there want to give me their thoughts on it, feel free to do so.

Like in my video game lists, I’ll list and link my previous days entries before getting onto today’s:

#10: Goblin Slayer
