Wooderon Games of the Year 2018: #9

Yesterday, I said that I had a habit finding Indie darlings on the tail end of my list. Not to spoil anything, but this year proves to be no different. We’re so spoilt for choice when it comes to video games these days, that you could be perfectly happy only ever playing games out of smaller studios and never getting into the AAA, there are a lot of people who do just that.

Wooderon Games of the Year 2018: #9

Today I’m going to talk about a game I spoke about early in the year. I had to pick this game up when I heard who was developing it, despite it only being their second game. But even in writing this piece, I found myself with the itch go back and start playing it all over again. It’s a game I can see myself going back to over and over, just like I did with the developer’s first game.

Before I start talking too much and giving things away, I’ll do what I usually do build some tension by linking to my list so far before getting onto the main meat of the entry:

#10: Dead Cells

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #10

Prepare yourself gentle reader. This year, I have decided to try something a little new. Seeing as how a combination of different Youtubers including Gigguk and Team Four Star’s short lived anime show AnimeFMK got me back into subscribing to Crunchyroll and actually watching anime again, I thought why not list the ten best anime I’ve watched in 2018.

A word of warning though, this will be the most generic, unadventurous anime list you’re going to read on this topic. But hey, give me a break, I’m just starting to get the hang of this.

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #10

I had a hard time trying to decide the criteria for this list, seeing as how a lot of the anime I watched both ended in 2018, or began and are still ongoing this year. So, at least for this year, I am going to simply say, to qualify for this list, the show simply has to have aired some significant amount of its airtime in this calendar year 2018. Next year, I’ll probably figure out something that makes a little more sense. But for now, seeing as it’s the first time I’m doing this, then why not just wing it.

Wooderon Games of the Year 2018: #10

Onto the main meat of this here event. Normally I’d spend this first entry talking about the past 12 months and give the gist of my video game habits, allowing for some small insight into what might be coming in the next ten days. But this time I ended up writing an entire post dedicated to my justification for me not playing as many games this year as I used to. But hey, I still played enough to actually feel bad about the games that didn’t make the list, all three of them.

Wooderon Games of the Year 2018: #10

So, that means you know every game on here is going to be a good one. There’s not going to be any pity entries like a mediocre Halo game this year, oh no. We’re starting off strong and only getting stronger as they days go by. Y’know, how these kind of lists are supposed to work. Without wasting any more time let’s get cracking onto the number ten slot in my top ten favourite video games of 2018.
