Star Wars: Rebels Revisited – Part 9: Blades and Broods

I’m not going to say these two episodes were a downturn from what has been a very good series so far. But they are something of a stumble, and an unforced one at that. I’ve made it no secret that despite this being a show about a cast of characters, some of them have been getting served much more than others. This felt like a chance to rectify that, and I don’t feel like they ended up being quite up to snuff.

Star Wars: Rebels Revisited – Part 8: Slashers and Scalawags

I’m just looking at the two episodes of Rebels today. Two very different episodes that focus pretty hard on two of what I feel are the three pillars of Star Wars storytelling; The world of smugglers and scoundrels and the world of Jedi and the Force. The third of those pillars being the world of military and war. Which I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of for a while at least considering Clone Wars was a lot of that.

Star Wars: Rebels Revisited – Part 7: You’re Gonna’ need a Bigger Walker

I knew we were getting some Clone Wars era characters showing up more and more in Rebels as the series went on. But I wanted to temper my expectations of them. After all, Rebels isn’t their show, I didn’t want my excitement for Vader, Ahsoka and familiar Clones to take away from Ezra and Kanan’s stories. I guess today is the day where I put that mentality to the test when we get those familiar faces showing up in force.
