Mob Psycho 100 Episode 9 Review – Show Me What You’ve Got ~Band Together~

After eight episodes of heart warming tales of personal growth and responsibility, Mob Psycho 100 suddenly feels like a totally different show. While I had expectations is was going to make this turn eventually, I mean, look at the show’s high action opening. I’m not entirely happy with how we got here.

In episode 9, not only do we have to contend with remembering a whole cast of returning characters from the first season, but also have to learn about the new cast of villains of the upper echelon of the Claw organisation, and get to know about the layers of infighting and coups that are all happening on top of all of this.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – a Happy Casualty of this War’s Propaganda

You watch one cute anime girl compilation and YouTube’s video recommendation algorithm will never let you forget it. On the upside though, the relentless barrage of anime clips brought Kaguya-sama: Love Is War to my attention. And never before have I fallen for a show so hard so quickly. Despite the fact that the show seems to stray from its own premise almost right away.

Thanks to it’s silly starting premise and a very catching opening, I ended up watching the whole series so far in an evening and it quickly charmed me on a level I was not expecting. The overly dramatic nature of characters and their constant game of one-upsmanship against one another is offset by unexpectedly sweet it can be at times.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind Episode 21 Review – “The Mystery of Emperor Crimson”

This was just some prime Jojo this episode; one part action sequence in which people describe their abilities slightly quicker than I could follow, and a second part of people standing in stunned silence, unable to make a choice before eventually executing an overblown gesture of solidarity. It’s good stuff.

With the events of episode 21, It appears we really are moving from the A side of the story to the B side, in which the entire dynamic between our cast changes, as well as the dynamic between them and the people who will inevitably come after them. Although, let’s be real, they’re still going to be fending off massive shit heels with not a moral quandary to be seen.
