Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 12: Return to Geonosis (Part 1)

I dabbled with the idea of talking about five episodes in a single upload this week, but I’m adamant that I’m going to stop writing 3000 word posts. Because that’s all I used to do and it destroyed me. Especially when this isn’t my full time job. So this part is going to be a little bit of a warm-up, leading into next week when we get into the meat of the battle of the bug planet.

During a lot of the first season, I started to tire of the war being almost the sole focus of every episode of the show. I get that it’s what the series is named for, but the Star Wars setting is so much bigger than that. Much to my delight, the writing for the second series has already broadened its scope and explored

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revisited – Part 10: Cad Bane’s Big Adventure

Right away, season 2 of the Clone War seems like an incredibly refreshing change of pace that I desperately needed from the series. As I said in the previous part where I spoke about the final episodes of season 1, the show had become bogged down with it’s militaristic framing device and really needed to focus on some different aspect of the Star Wars universe for a few episodes, these three episodes do just that.
