I’ve always had a fascination with Cyberpunk; it’s the realisation of our inevitable, highly technological future combined with the cynical belief that it’ll rot our society.

With the leaps in technology made in just the past few years, the cyberpunk future approaches at a frightening rate. So there’s no better time to play a horror game within that leans into all these fears about how screwed we are as a species; Observer.

Halloween Special – Looking Back at: Event Horizon

I’ve never been much of a Halloween guy. Growing up, Bonfire Night was always more my thing. Sadly, because that tradition is nowhere near as marketable as selling super hero costumes and friendly vampire decorations, it seems to be very much on the periphery of Autumn holidays.

On thing I do like are Horror movies, and there’s no better excuse to go back and watch some of my favourites, and where better to start than Event Horizon.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was that last great Spider-Man game

A brand new Spider-Man game is on the horizon, one that has everyone’s attention. Puddle dramas aside, I’m really looking forward it too. In preparation, I decided to look back at the last Spider-Man game I genuinely enjoyed. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was the first game in a long time that moved away from doggedly basing all interpretations of the character on the movies, and went back to plucking its inspiration from the comic books from which the character was made. Helping me remember why I loved the character so much in the first place.
