These past couple of years, my blog has moved beyond a simple hobby for me and turned into something I genuinely want to foster and grow, not just as an outlet for myself, but as something I want other people to enjoy as well. My problem is that, to grow my blog any more, I’m going to have to start promoting it, something that the very nature of the internet itself has created an insurmountable roadblock that I’m not sure I can overcome.

The Pokemon controversy and “the right to criticise”
I’m talking about outraging fan bases again, my favourite.
The current big drama that people are getting up in arms about regards the news around the upcoming new Pokemon games on the Switch. When, I heard that Sword and Shield weren’t going to support the use of every Pokemon, like many fans, I was bummed out.

Game of Thrones is showing the dark side of Fandoms. Again.
There’s been a petition on Change.Org been doing the rounds on social media this past week. One that has been getting a lot of attention, for better for for worse. Mostly worse. With over 1 million supporters as of the time of writing this, “Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers” is a sad commentary on the current state of fandoms.
