Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #3

We’re at the top three of my best anime list and those of you who know a lot more about the medium than I do will have realised that I am really only skimming the surface when it comes to genre and the depth of things out there to watch. Which is something I’ve always been open to admitting. I know what I like and it’s going to be very unusual that I foray outside of my comfort zone, even though I am really trying.

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #3

Today’s entry is the last one I post before people probably start to get mad at me. So I’ll make the most of my newfound admiration for anime before all the other anime bloggers out there lose all respect for me. Despite how much I personally enjoyed today’s show, I haven’t seen too many others talking about it. So many it’s no as important as I think it is, but as my introduction to a long running series, it impressed me quite a bit.

So let’s get into it… after I list the previous seven shows on my list:

#10: Goblin Slayer

#9: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

#8: The Ancient Magus’ Bride

#7: Golden Kamuy

#6: Attack on Titan

#5: Hinamatsuri

#4: Megalo Box

Wooderon Games of the Year 2018: #3

Top Three time! Statistically, the only part of the list that most people care about. Where do I source my statistics? Why would I pose this leading question? I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions. I’m not used to speaking this positively for such an extended amount of time. It’s exhausting, I don’t know how people do it. But I’ve got plenty of nice things still to say these next few days, so let’s hope I don’t hit a happy wall as I get to the games I should be praising the most.

Wooderon Games of the Year 2018: #3

From a game in which I had mixed feelings about, despite it’s obviously staggering accomplishment, I move onto a game I just adore from top to bottom. A combination of being from a franchise I love, from a developer I have a long history with and simply being an incredibly fun game. There’s not much to do but praise this one.

And I’ll get to that in a moment, but first I need to post my traditional list of links:

#10: Dead Cells

#9: Into the Breach

#8: Dragon Ball FighterZ

#7: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

#6: Forza Horizon 4

#5: Spyro Reignited Trilogy

#4: Red Dead Redemption 2

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #4

My Christmas holiday is almost over already. Oh, the never ending grind of retail. One thing that never took a break through was my unenviable task of making over 20 posts in 13 days. It might seem like cake to more of the gifted bloggers out there. But again, retail. Also, I’ve got Overwatch and Destiny Christmas events to try and participate in. Have you no sympathy for me and my very real and serious problems. Anyway, enough waffle, let’s get on with it shall we.

Wooderon Anime of the Year 2018: #4

Today’s entry shows that sometimes, you don’t have to hang your show on a huge concept or gimmicky spectacle. Sometimes, if you just need to nail the basics and tell a simple story to an incredibly high standard. It’s really all you need to do to make a great show.

I’ll keep you in anticipation for a moment longer though as I give my current list leading up until today:

#10: Goblin Slayer

#9: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

#8: The Ancient Magus’ Bride

#7: Golden Kamuy

#6: Attack on Titan

#5: Hinamatusri
